I am very excited to return to Grandpappy Point Marina. I guess you could say I have boats in my blood. My father grew up boating and his father as well. We had a 17′ Glaspar that we kept on the Tennessee River and would trailer to northern Minnesota every summer. I remember the Sailfish, row boats and my dad showing me how to properly paddle a canoe. I entered the boat business back in 1977. Back then I was washing boats and painting boat bottoms. We spent weekends racing sailboats. We raced in all types of boats. J/24’s, J/22’s, Lasers, Scows, it didn’t matter as long as that was to be where the competition was. I have competed in everything from local club races, club championships, district championships, mid winters and National Championships in various classes. With over 40 years of experience it seems that I’ve done almost everything associated with the Marine Industry. I started out as a painter, rigger, fiberglass repair, Service Manager, Sail Maker, Marina Manager, Boat Broker, Sales Manager and owned my own Boat Title Business. I have served on the board of the Marina Association of Texas and am currently a board member and past President of the Lake Texoma Association. My favorite part of this business is working with a customer and watching their excitement when they finally find the boat of their dreams. I especially enjoy working with my many repeat customers, with whom I’ve developed long-standing friendship over the years. I also look forward to the friendships I will make with my future customers. As the Only Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB) in north Texas, I am ready to put my experience and knowledge to work for you today.
